Cake& Cupcakes: The Cakery

 

A hidden treasure at the uniquely renovated, circa 1907 army barracks. From the patina walls, rustic wood floors, tin ceilings. All this just minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge in the foothills of Marin, CA. This elegant bride wanted to have pops of color to add to this historical backdrop. 

 

Their ceremony took place outside surrounded by all the lovely eucalyptas trees. Guests retreated indoors for the rest of the festivities. 

 

Simply Events and team were onsite all day. From setting up the decor, hanging lights,  helping with floral arrangements and placement to working closely with each of the vendors to make sure this event was a big success .

 

Katie Powers Catering provided a family style feast, cooked right on-site in the open kitchen, that hands down is still one of my all time favorite meals. Katie's use of organic and locally grown seasonal foods made every morsel delicious.

 

The bride was very much a hands on do-it-yourselfer, down to month's preparation of all her handcrafted items, such as the monogrammed pillows, to the hand carved name cards to the homemade jams for guest to take home. The bride & groom thank the "Tech Center" and found their membership came in handy for all these projects.

 

Dinner wrapped up with singing songs from the grooms native homeland of Sweden and dancing & merriment took place upstairs under the twinkling lights hung in one of the old barracks.

 

A  truly splendid wedding!
